Uterus Revolution

The Uterus Revolution started in September 2021, after Texas passed the Heartbeat Act. My two sisters and I spent days making protest signs for the Dallas Women’s Reproductive Freedom March, but at the last minute, I decided we needed t-shirts, too. We voted on the phrase “A Woman’s Place is in the Revolution”—something that captured the fear, rage, and urgency we were all trying to process.
As I sketched ideas, I kept coming back to Lady Justice—sword raised, standing firm in battle. But instead of her trademark scales, she held something more defiant: one very angry (and, ultimately, sparkly thanks to my sisters bedazzling skills) female reproductive organ. That sketch became our first design—and later evolved into the logo: a simplified uterus with fallopian tubes flipping the middle finger. A few months later, The Uterus Revolution was online—designed to help people protest every day. Every piece was printed on demand, and 100% of profits were donated to the ACLU. The goal was simple: use creativity as a tool for activism. And while The Uterus Revolution had its run, the passion behind it still fuels the work I do today.
